We currently have an opening in our Whites Vancouver office for a Shipper/Receiver. This is a full time permanent role.

The duties and responsibilities include:
• Prioritize daily workload (Local, National, International, sub rentals) and assign tasks to driver.
• Ensure that the driver stay on schedule (pick-ups, drop-offs, lunch, projects).
• Work closely with the Sub Rental Coordinator/Rentals Desk Coordinator to ensure the timely delivery and return of sub rented equipment.
• Ensure that all incoming received equipment from other locations is counted and paperwork is turned in to the desk for proper check-in.
• Ensure that all outgoing equipment to other locations is counted, packaged, and includes all proper documentation.
• Ensure that All cross border documentation is complete for timely and successful delivery.
• Ensure that all goods received are cross referenced against a packing slips (must be signed and dated) and turned in to the Rentals Desk Coordinator in a timely manner.
• Be the direct contact for couriers, logistics, and brokers. Submit accurate shipping quotes to the CSR’s in a timely manner.
• Attend daily general meeting, daily departmental head meeting and daily afternoon rentals meeting
• Drive when needed.
• Must be able to open and close the warehouse.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to productions and crew.
• Create a work environment that fosters creativity, ingenuity and high staff morale.
• Reduce costs whenever and wherever possible.

The Shipper/Receiver will also be asked to assist in other areas of the Warehouse as needed. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
• Work on special projects assigned by the Supervisor, Warehouse or the Manager, Warehouse Operations.
• Process equipment in all departments (Cable, Grip, Fabric, Electrics, and Triage).
• Organize equipment on shelves.
• Assist with warehouse reorganization projects.
• Operate the forklift for all departments.
• Assist with keeping the yard clean.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years Shipping and Receiving experience (both domestic and international)
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent management skills
• Able to multi-task
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent numeric skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work up to 12 hours per day if needed

Rentals Coordinator/Warehouse Supervisor

We currently have an opening for the position of Rentals Coordinator/Warehouse Supervisor located in the Winnipeg Office.  This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure that all procedures in relation to inventory control are being followed by operations staff.
  • Distribute pull lists to warehouse staff.
  • Check-out equipment in RTPro and print contracts.
    • Liaise with CSR’s/floor staff on any order changes, when appropriate.
    • Ensure that proper paperwork procedures are followed (i.e. double counts are completed with appropriate initials included, contracts are signed accordingly.)
  • Ensure all show paperwork is given to the appropriate CSR.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to productions and crew.
  • Make changes and adjustments to orders with the approval from the CSR’s or when the designated CSR is unavailable.
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading gear in high volume situations.
  • Create accurate rentals contracts in RTPro.
  • Check in equipment through RTPro and generate check in sheets for customers.
  • Generate return paperwork to ensure that returns are applied correctly.
  • Communicate effectively with CSR’s to ensure returns are applied to the correct customer orders.
  • Work with CSR’s to close outstanding sub-rental orders expediently.
  • Filing of show paperwork w/CSR’s.
  • Checking equipment in and out of repair through RTPro Repair module.
  • Aid in preparation of annual physical inventory as well as inventory spot checks.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable work area.
  • Ensure steady work flow for floor staff, scheduling lunches and breaks and ensuring constant communication amongst floor staff and CSR’s.
  • Opening and closing of rentals desk and ensuring the building is secure when required.
  • Shift: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
  • Create a work environment that fosters creativity, ingenuity and high staff morale.
  • Other duties as required.

 Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Must have strong knowledge of film/production equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and Database programs
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Rentals Desk Coordinator/Fabric Associate/Warehouse Staff

  • Rentals Desk Coordinator

Centered in the middle of our operation, the Rentals Desk Coordinator position is responsible for distributing pull lists, creating accurate rental contracts and checking in equipment to generate check-in sheets. This role requires excellent communication skills as you are required to interact with both internal staff and external clients. This is an exciting role for someone who has some equipment knowledge, the ability to multi-task in a loud fast paced environment and exceptional customer service skills.

  • Fabric Associate

The Fabric department at Whites is tasked with the management of our fabric inventory which includes the processing, cleaning and repairing of our fabrics for film and television productions. We are ideally looking for an individual with previous industrial sewing experience, excellent communication and organization skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Warehouse Staff
