2007 GEMINI AWARDS NOMINEES ANNOUNCED
August 28, 2007 - The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (ACCT) today announced the nominations for the 22nd annual Gemini Awards, recognizing the year’s best in Canadian English-language television. The Gemini Awards Gala will be presented in Regina for the first time at the Conexus Arts Centre on October 28th, 2007.

“This year represents an outstanding year in Canadian television,” said Sara Morton, CEO of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. “The nominations, in all categories truly exemplify the unparalleled talent within our borders. The Gemini Awards are proud to showcase and celebrate these successes.”

The Canadian industry will gather in Toronto at The Liberty Grand on October 15th, 16th and 17th to honour and celebrate the News, Documentary and Sports Awards, the Lifestyle, Children’s and Youth Awards and the Drama, Comedy and Variety Awards.

DGC AWARDS NOMINEES ANNOUNCED
August 13, 2007 - The Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) today announced the 2007 DGC Awards nominations. The gala will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Carlu in Toronto.

Comweb/William F. White is an inaugural sponsor of the DGC Awards and proudly continues the tradition this year.

BURY MY HEART LEADS THE EMMY PACK
July 19, 2007 - Nominations for the 59th Primetime Emmys were announced today and the made-for-TV movie “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee”, which was shot in Alberta with production equipment provided by WFW, led all nominees with 17.

The Emmys will be presented September 16, 2007 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

FANTASTIC FOUR SEQUEL DEBUTS IN TOP SPOT
June 18, 2007 - Twentieth Century Fox's Sci Fi blockbuster “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” opened in U.S. theatres this past weekend and finished in the top position with a U.S. weekend gross estimated at more than $58 million.

WFW's Vancouver location was the film's primary production equipment provider.
CANADA'S BEST HONOURED AT THE BESSIES
May 10, 2007 - The Bessies, honouring the best in Canadian television advertising, were presented yesterday at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto.
